The Self Awareness Questionnaire

I regularly write on this blog about confidence, self esteem and positivity, but one of the most important factors in building all of these is Self Awareness. Self awareness is not just about how you see yourself, and what you like and dislike, it is knowing what you want from your life and what motivates you, as well as understanding and owning your beliefs and core values.

Self awareness may help you to better understand others, and how they see you, but most importantly,  becoming self aware will allow you to unlock your potential and enable you to move forward positively.

If you genuinely want to make changes in any sector of your life, you need to know yourself first. Sometimes it is difficult to see the wood from the trees and, with all that’s going on, it’s easy to lose our way and struggle to have a clear perception of who we are, what we want and where we are going.

I am a huge fan of being real, of living in the now and accepting what I can’t change. I am also a big believer about making the best of life through continually reviewing and re-evaluating priorities and goals… And I love a questionnaire!

Spend some time answering the questions below.  I can’t promise it will be life changing overnight, but it may allow you to identify what areas of your life need work, and therefore give you the tools to establish a new, or amended, strategy moving forward.

These questions are not designed to be super easy. The purpose is that they make you think! Some of them may even be a little uncomfortable, but you don’t have to share your answers with anyone.  They are also designed to be a little ambiguous at times, but don’t worry about that.  Whatever the question means to you, personally, is what is important.

Some people prefer to do this alone and keep the answers to themselves, but if you have a trusted friend you may like to do it together, as the questionnaire will no doubt stimulate plenty of debate and discussion!

Without self awareness it is almost impossible to make changes in the direction of your life,  but no one is suggesting it’s easy.   It can be very difficult to be honest, even with yourself, when answering questions of this nature. Try and stick with it! When you can develop the ability to fully understand your emotions, personality, behaviour and how you react to others, you will grow as a person,  which can only have a positive impact on all areas of your life.  ❤️

  1. Great questions! But for me, I would have preferred a multiple choice form (which includes “other – explain” as an option). It would be interesting to see stats while at the same time protecting everyone’s privacy.

    • Thank you! Yes I agree but that maybe quite an undertaking! Perhaps when I have given up my day job! ❤️Thanks so much for reading and taking the time to comment.

  2. I love this blog! I came across it at the right time. So, thank you for following my Renew Inspiration blog. As you can see, I am returning the favor. Happy blogging!
